Itinerary

• 8:00 am - Departure from San Cristóbal de las Casas.
• 9:30 am - Technical stop for breakfast (Not included)
• 10:00 am - Access and guided tour at the El Chiflón Waterfalls.
• 12:30 pm - Departure from El Chiflón to the Montebello Lakes.
• 2:00 pm - Arrival at the Montebello Lakes National Park. Free time for exploration and recreational activities.
• 6:00 pm - Begins the return to Tuxtla Gutiérrez or San Cristóbal de las Casas. 
• 9:00 pm - Conclusion of the tour in San Cristóbal de las Casas.

We begin our day of adventure from San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas. Our first stop takes us to the stunning El Chiflón Waterfalls, which are considered some of the most impressive waterfalls in the region due to their astonishing height. The stepped falls of these waterfalls extend to approximately 120 meters in total. The San Vicente River, one of the most voluminous in Chiapas, gives life to a series of waterfalls with evocative names such as "El Suspiro," "Ala de Ángel," and “Velo de Novia.” The latter, with its 120-meter drop, is the most breathtaking of all.

In this natural setting, natural pools of intense turquoise blue water are formed. These are surrounded by lush vegetation that creates a tree canopy, offering landscapes highlighted by their cane fields and palm trees.

Then, we continue our journey to the Montebello Lakes, a natural treasure that is one of the most beautiful places in all of Mexico. These lakes are distinguished by their varied aquatic environments, both on the surface and deep within the earth. Here, we will be able to observe and explore lakes such as Lake Tziscao, Pojoj Lagoon, Montebello Lake, Emerald Lagoon, and Dream Lagoon. The fame of these lakes is due to the stunning colors of their waters, resulting from a combination of factors, including the composition of the bottom soil, surrounding vegetation, and light refraction.
