Detailed Description
Our exciting tour begins at 9:00 a.m. at your hotel reception, from where we head to the impressive Sumidero Canyon, which shapes the Grijalva River. During a relaxing 2-hour boat ride, you will have the opportunity to admire the amazing variety of native flora and fauna of the region.
Afterwards, we continue our journey to the old city of Chiapa de Corzo, founded in 1528 by Captain Diego de Mazariegos. Here, we will explore a Mudéjar-style fountain built in the 16th century. Then, we will continue our tour by visiting the five viewpoints offering panoramic views of Sumidero Canyon.
Finally, we return to the charming colonial city of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, around 5:00 p.m., leaving you with the rest of the afternoon free to explore at your own pace.
